The Bolivian flag consists of three horizontal stripes of equal size. The top stripe is red, the middle is yellow and the bottom stripe is green.
Meaning: The red on the Bolivian flag represents the bravery of the Bolivian soldier. The green symbolizes the fertility of the land and the yellow represents the country's mineral resources.
History: The Bolivian flag was adopted on Oct. 31, 1851. Different variations of this flag were used in Bolivia since it gained independence from Spain on August 6, 1825, up until 1851.
Interesting Facts: The state flag of Bolivia is similar to the national flag, but it also has the Bolivian coat of arms placed in the middle of the flag. The flags of Bolivia and Ghana are identical, other than the fact there is a black star in the centre of Ghana's flag (source: worldflags101).
